There a billion and one books out there for parents on the "how-to's" and the "don't-do's" and the "to-do's" of raising children. There are some that I love and highly recommend and a whole lot that I'd rather pass on. What I have found is that in my time as a parent, the books that have been most helpful on my journey have been less about How-To and more about the soul and heart purpose of mothering. Here a few books that have nurtured me as a new mother, that I highly recommend:

I was so motivated by these adorable compilations of location-inspired names from Colorado and New York City, that I just had to brainstorm a list for my new home, Charlotte, NC. The Queen City is a wonderful place to have a baby, settle down and raise a family. The thriving economy and growth in Charlotte is bringing lots of young couples to town. Folks quickly fall in love with all this area has to offer.
